DR. DAVID PENN
Aesthetic dentist
Dr. David Penn graduated from Sydney University dental school in 1978 and commenced practice in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. He trained extensively in the United States under some of the leading aesthetic dentists in the early 80’s. He maintains a busy practice with Dr Albert Sharp in Double Bay, NSW.
Dr Penn also lectures and teaches extensively, principally in the area of aesthetic orthodontics. In 2007, he wrote a specific accreditation course to teach general dentists how to use sequential aligners for aesthetic movement of teeth and has taught more than 1000 post graduate students in Australasia from 2007 – 2014.
He has developed many innovative dental devices and techniques, including the Penn Composite Stent, the Atlas Cabriolet orthodontic retainer and more recently, the Munchies device for orthodontic acceleration and pain alleviation.
Dr Penn is the Head of the Post Graduate School of Dentistry, the dental faculty of the Penn College. He recently has had a new program, the Grad. Diploma in Aesthetic Orthodontics , accredited by ASQA and will be offering this to post-graduate students in September, 2015.
DR. MICHAEL ZACHARIA
Specialist ENT and Facial Surgeon
Dr Zacharia’s journey as a plastic surgeon started in 1987 when he received a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Adelaide, which included advanced training in ENT surgery. Not long after that, Dr Zacharia became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS), specialising in head and neck surgery.
Following his time at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, he went on to become a medical science lecturer at the University of Oxford, which gave him the opportunity to experience the world of cosmetic surgery and medicine in a different country.
To further hone his skills, Dr Zacharia made the decision to spend 6 months with Dr Harry Glassman, a well-known plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills, before returning to Australia to continue his work.
Dr Zacharia was previously the president of the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery and is still a member of several leading medical organisations in Australia. Along with being a respected member of the medical community, Dr Zacharia is also a household name at international medical conferences and local seminars and workshops.
Dr Zacharia has spent years perfecting his surgical skills and is passionate about creating results that patients love. Whether patients want to correct minor imperfections and undergo life-changing surgery, Dr Zacharia is there to guide them through the process, ensuring that they feel comfortable at every stage.
